Biography

Ain Jürisson (October 11, 1931 Kaelanes – November 14, 2017) was an Estonian actor and production manager. He was born in 1931 in Kaela as a child of farmers. In 1957, he graduated from the distance learning high school and the Drama Theater study studio in Tallinn. He was an actor at the Drama Theater from 1958 to 1981.

From 1981 to 2004, he was the director of the production department of the Drama Theater and from 2004 to 2006, the director of the workshops. He has appeared on Estonian Television and Estonian Radio programs and played in the films "Naughty Curves" (1959), "Dangerous Curves" (1961), "The Last Relic" (1969) and "The Curse of the Snake Valley" (1987). In 1995, he played Valija in the TV series "Õnne 13". Jürisson is best known as a dubber for animated films. In addition to his work at the drama theater, he was able to participate in the dubbing of animated films by Sojuzmultfilm for Tallinnfilm for 30 years.
