Privacy policy

1. Data collected

Six categories, nothing more.

• E-mail address. Used as your sign in identifier and as the channel for service e-mails.
• Public username. The short name that appears in your profile address. You choose it and you can change it.
• Viewing activity. Titles added to your library, episodes and films marked as watched, the dates of those actions, rewatches, the shelf each title sits on, the titles you marked as favourites and the people whose work you follow.
• Notifications. What the service told you about, the date of each message and the date you read it, along with the categories you chose to receive or to mute.
• Preferences. Light or dark theme, interface language, the country you watch from, whether adult content is shown, and the time offset used to display air dates.
• External accounts. If you connect a third party service such as BetaSeries: your identifier and username there, the date of the connection, and an access token kept encrypted. You can break the link at any time from your settings.

No payment data is collected. No advertising profiling is carried out.

2. Purpose of each category

• The e-mail address authenticates you through a login link and carries account e-mails. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
• The public username names your profile in the application. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
• The viewing activity is the point of the service: computing your progress, the next episode, the time left. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
• Notifications tell you what happens to the titles in your library and to the people you follow. Legal basis: performance of the contract for the on-site bell, consent for sending them by e-mail, which you switch on and can switch off at any time.
• Preferences save you from setting up the interface on every visit. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• External accounts are used to import your library from the service you connect. Legal basis: consent, given by the connection itself and withdrawn by breaking the link.

No marketing e-mail is sent. Beyond login links and messages about the account itself, only the notification digest goes out, and only if you asked for it.

3. Cookies used

Three cookies, all necessary to run the service. None is for advertising, none follows you off the site.

• Session. Keeps you signed in from page to page. Duration: sixty days without a visit, renewed every time you come back.
• Theme. Remembers light or dark so the page does not flash on load. Duration: one year.
• Time offset. Remembers your time zone so air dates show in local time. Duration: one year.

4. No advertising, no third party trackers

Tracker TV shows no advertising, sells no data, and embeds no tracking pixel, social share button or ad network. No data is passed to a data broker.

No audience measurement is in place. The only statistics kept are about the state of the servers, never about people.

5. Processors

Two providers are involved, each on a limited scope covered by a data processing agreement.

• Hosting. OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, BP 80157, 59100 Roubaix, téléphone 1007. The application and the database are hosted there.
• E-mail delivery. Resend delivers login links and notifications.

Catalogue data is requested from the TMDB API. Those requests are made by the server, without passing on your identity or your activity.

6. Retention periods

• Active account. Data is kept for as long as the account exists.
• Notifications. Ninety days, after which they are deleted, read or not.
• Account deletion. Everything the account holds is erased at once. The backups still holding a copy are purged within thirty days.
• Inactive account. After three years without a sign in, we send a warning e-mail, then delete the account if there is no reply within thirty days.
• Technical logs. Twelve months at most, for security and diagnostics.

7. Your rights

The General Data Protection Regulation gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, along with the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

Exporting your data and deleting your account are done straight from your settings. For the rest, write to privacy@tracker-tv.com and expect an answer within one month.

If the answer does not satisfy you, you can contact the CNIL, the French supervisory authority, at cnil.fr.
