Biography

He has written and directed the films All Songs Speak About Me (2010), for which he was nominated for the Goya for Best New Director, The Illusions (2013), which received awards and recognition from critics and audiences after his tour of international festivals, The romantic exiles (2015), Special Jury Prize at Malaga Festival among other awards and festivals, La reconquista (2016), which participated in the Official Section of the San Sebastian Festival, as well as in international festival numbers, and for which he received the RNE 2016 Critical Eye Award.

At the end of that year, Who's Stopping Us begins, a project of cinematographic approach to different young adolescents that is shown in different pieces, such as a film in progress. His most recent film is The Virgin of August (2019), Fipresci Prize for International Critics and Special Jury Mention at the Karlovy Vary International Festival 2019.
