Biography
Ryan Warren Smith is a multifaceted production designer who designs commercials, television, & feature films. Ryan began his film career as an on-set dresser working alongside high-profile directors such as Sean Penn & Gus van Sant. His first film as a production designer was Kelly Reichardt's "Wendy and Lucy", starring Michelle Williams, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival before being screened at numerous film festivals worldwide.

Ryan has designed eleven feature-length films & one television show, including the Polsky Brothers' "The Motel Life" starring Dakota Fanning, Emile Hirsch, Kris Kristofferson, and Stephen Dorff; the 2012 Sundance pic "For Ellen" directed by So Yong Kim, starring Paul Dano, Jon Heder, and Jena Malone; Jeremy Saulnier's "Green Room," starring Anton Yelchin and Patrick Stewart, Andrew Heigh's "Lean on Pete," starring Steve Buscemi, Chloë Sevigny and Charlie Plummer, Season 3 of "True Detective," for HBO, and Alexander Payne's The Holdovers, which was nominated for five academy awards, winning 1. He also finished filming Jeremy Saulnier's next film, "Rebel Ridge" for Netflix.
