Biography
Vien Simbre (b. 2001) is a Filipino filmmaker and graduate of Far Eastern University Manila’s BA Communication program under the Digital Cinema Track. He later completed the Intensive Filmmaking Workshop at the Mowelfund Film Institute, specializing in Assistant Directing and Production Management.

His directorial works include Buta (2021), Mga Alimpungat Mula sa Kahinahunang Idlip (2023), and patient 08: the case of Seraphiel Manolito’s divine potentiality – year 20__ (2024). His work explores personal experiences shaped by the social realities around them, with room for experimentation in form and genre. In 2023, he co-founded Purok Dos with Julia Laplana and Gabby de Guzman.
