An Egyptian actress of Lebanese origin, she is the daughter of actress and producer Assia Dagher, whose husband died in Lebanon before she came to Egypt. Her real name is Elaine. She played many supporting roles in films, but her roles were almost identical, with her performances never going beyond the aristocratic girl seeking a man loved by another woman.
