Biography

After doing sciences in school I did Engineering at Manchester University. By doing a Dip Ed in 1963/4, which included Art along with Maths and Physics, I moved across to the arts. My first major work was “Tunnels of Lovely” in 1968. It was a walk-in tunnel system full of pleasure. After shows of painting every couple of years in North Wales, I began being commissioned to make artist’s films for TV.

I worked for S4C, C4 and BBC2 for 20 years or so. I came down to Frome in 2004 and began doing video installations about Michael Bennett’s painting for the Frome Festival. I am now back to my first love, painting, and have my studio in Frome, (see the film under “about”).
