Charan achieved monumental stardom and career-defining industry records with his second film, S. S. Rajamouli's fantasy action epic *Magadheera* (2009). Portraying the dual roles of the warrior Kala Bhairava and modern-day Harsha, the film became the highest-grossing Telugu film of its time and earned him his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu and a Nandi Special Jury Award. In 2018, Charan delivered a benchmark artistic performance as the hearing-impaired village mechanic Chitti Babu in Sukumar's period rural drama *Rangasthalam* (2018), earning widespread critical acclaim and winning his second Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu. He achieved global recognition and international stardom portraying the fierce revolutionary Alluri Sitarama Raju in S. S. Rajamouli's cinematic phenomenon *RRR* (2022) alongside N. T. Rama Rao Jr., earning a nomination for Best Actor in an Action Movie at the Critics' Choice Super Awards. He starred alongside Chiranjeevi in Koratala Siva's *Acharya* (2022) and headlined S. Shankar's political action drama *Game Changer* (2025) opposite Kiara Advani. His filmography extends to Buchi Babu Sana's rustic sports action drama *Peddi* (2026) alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Shiva Rajkumar, followed by his upcoming reunion collaboration with director Sukumar.
